Obituary

EUFROCINIA (LOLA) RESURRECCION joined her mother, Paula, her father Melanio
and daughter Eufrocinia in the welcoming arms of the Lord. She passed away
peacefully at Mission Hospital, Mission Viejo, California under the watchful eye and
loving embrace of her daughter, Aida.
LOLA WAS BORN ON JANUARY 1, 1926 in Makati, Rizal, Philippines and
In 1981, Lola immigrated to America. Here she worked as an Assembler in a now
closed factory that supplied airplane parts. With only a 5th grade education and barely
able to speak English, she succeeded in earning money to send to her children in the
Philippines. It was out of sheer determination that she was able to overcome inferiority
complex, lack of language skills, and lack of work experience. This resolve pushed her
to fulfill her desire to help her family and to achieve independence. She fiercely fought
to not be a burden on anyone.
Lola recently enjoyed her 93rd birthday celebration on January 1st, surrounded by her
family and had the greatest time of her life. She was full of joy having all the people
who loved her dearly celebrating with her.
