Born in MI


Marlene Brown, born in Wyandotte, Michigan and San Clemente resident of 49 years,
entered Heaven’s gates on Wednesday, October 3, 2018 surrounded by her loving
family. Her family finds comfort that she has now rejoined Ray Brown, her high
school sweetheart and husband of 40 years, in Heaven.
A loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt, sister, and friend—her
favorite holiday was Christmas to celebrate our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ while
gathering with loved ones to share blessings. Family was everything to Marlene. She
created and cherished regular family dinners, outings and celebrations. A true
matriarch, she was happiest when everyone was together. Marlene enjoyed a
rewarding and successful career for 20 years at the Endevco Corporation, before
retiring to enjoy the latter part of her life with her treasured family and friends
Marlene is survived by her two children, her son Randy Brown and daughter in-law
Danielle, and her daughter Christy Anderson. She is also survived by her four
grandchildren: Brian, Amanda, Danielle, and Eric, and four great grandchildren:
Taylor, Aryana, Ever and Truman. Marlene is also survived by her brother Sam
(Erma) Reid, of Nevada and sister Juanita (Doug) Severance of Idaho, and a very dear
friend Joyce Anderson of San Juan Capistrano..
A memorial service celebrating her life will be held on Saturday, November 17 at
1:00pm at St. Clement’s By The Sea Episcopal Church, 200 Avenida Aragon, San
Clemente CA 92672. In lieu of flowers, please send donations in memory of Marlene
to her church St. Clement’s By The Sea in San Clemente at the address above.
